Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
Kritarsh Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Omrify mobile application. This
page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal
data when you use our Service.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Omrify uses your device's camera to scan OMR sheets. All image processing happens
locally on your device. We do not upload your scanned images to our servers
unless explicitly stated for cloud backup features you opt into.
Profile Setup: We collect phone number when you create or update your user
profile to maintain your account information.
2. Permissions
The app requires the following permissions to function:
- Camera Access: Required to scan OMR sheets. Camera data is processed
locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you opt into cloud
backup features.
- Storage Access: Required to save scan results, exported files, and app
data locally on your device. All data is stored locally unless you enable cloud backup.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob for monetization. AdMob may collect
certain data (such as device identifiers) to show relevant ads. You can find their
privacy policy on the Google website.
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): We request permission to track
your device across other apps for personalized advertising. If you grant
permission, we share your device identifier (IDFA) with our ad networks
(SKAdNetwork) for ad attribution and measurement. You can revoke this permission
anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
- Firebase Services (Google): We use several Firebase services provided
by Google:
- Firebase Crashlytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect
crash reports and error logs to improve app stability and fix bugs. This service
is always active and collects data automatically when the app encounters errors
or crashes.
- Firebase Analytics: Tracks app usage patterns, feature
engagement, and user behavior to measure feature effectiveness and plan
improvements.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: Monitors app launch time,
screen load times, and overall app performance to identify and fix bottlenecks.
- Firebase Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication to
manage user accounts. This is required if you choose to use cloud backup
features.
- Firebase Cloud Firestore: We use Firestore for cloud backup and
synchronization of your test results and data. This feature is
optional and only available for paid/premium users who
explicitly opt into cloud backup. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): We use FCM to send push
notifications. You can control notification permissions in your device settings.
- Sentry: We use Sentry to track app crashes, errors, and performance
metrics. Sentry may receive diagnostic data including user context, device info, and
stack traces to help us fix issues and improve app stability.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat as a third-party payment processor to
manage app subscriptions. RevenueCat handles payment data, subscription status, and
transaction records. RevenueCat may retain anonymized transaction data for operational
purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
By default, all your data (scanned sheets, test results, answer keys) is stored
locally on your device using SQLite database. We do not access or upload
this data unless you explicitly enable cloud backup features.
If you opt into cloud backup (premium feature), your data is stored securely in Firebase
Firestore with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. You can disable cloud backup at
any time, and your data will remain stored locally only.
5. Data Sharing
We share data with the following third parties:
- Google: We share data with Google services (Firebase, AdMob) as
described above. This includes:
- Crash logs and error reports (Firebase Crashlytics) - Required for app stability
- Device identifiers and ad interaction data (AdMob) - Required for ad serving
- User account information (Firebase Auth) - Only if you create an account
- Test results and metadata (Firestore) - Only if you opt into cloud backup
(premium feature)
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data stored locally on your device
- Delete your data by uninstalling the app or using in-app delete features
- Opt out of cloud backup at any time (if you're a premium user)
- Control notification permissions through your device settings
- Request deletion of cloud-stored data by contacting us
7. Account Deletion
If you have created an account in Omrify (for cloud backup features), you can delete your
account by sending an email request to [email protected] with the subject
"Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address.
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted from our
servers:
- Your user account information (email, authentication credentials)
- All test results and scanned OMR sheets stored in cloud backup (Firestore)
- All metadata associated with your account
- Your cloud backup preferences and settings
Local Data on Your Device
By default, Omrify stores all your data locally on your device. When you delete your account:
- Local data remains: All data stored locally on your device (scanned
sheets, test results, answer keys) will remain on your device unless you manually delete
it or uninstall the app.
- Uninstalling the app: If you uninstall the app, all local data will be
removed from your device. This action cannot be undone.
- Cloud sync stops: Once your account is deleted, the app will no longer
sync data to the cloud. Any new data you create will only be stored locally.
Data Retention After Deletion
After you request account deletion:
- Immediate deletion: Your account and all associated cloud data will be
deleted within 30 days of your request.
- Backup copies: We may retain backup copies of your data for up to 90
days as part of our disaster recovery procedures. These backups are automatically purged
and are not accessible for normal operations.
- Anonymized data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot
be used to identify you for analytics and service improvement purposes.
Data We Cannot Delete
The following data may be retained for legal or operational reasons:
- Crash reports and error logs: Crash reports collected by Firebase
Crashlytics may be retained for up to 90 days to help us improve app stability. These
reports are anonymized and do not contain personal information.
- Ad interaction data: Google AdMob may retain anonymized ad interaction
data as per their privacy policy. This data is not personally identifiable.
- Legal requirements: We may be required to retain certain data to comply
with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Deletion Timeline
After you submit an account deletion request:
- Immediate: Your account will be marked for deletion and you will no
longer be able to access cloud backup features.
- Within 30 days: All your account data and cloud-stored content will be
permanently deleted from our active systems.
- Within 90 days: All backup copies will be purged from our systems.
Reinstating Your Account
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reinstated. If you wish to use cloud backup
features again, you will need to create a new account. Any data that was stored locally on
your device will remain available, but you will need to set up cloud backup again if you
want to sync it.
Users Without Accounts
If you use Omrify without creating an account (using only local storage), you can delete all
your data by:
- Using the in-app delete features to remove individual test results or scanned sheets
- Uninstalling the app, which will remove all local data from your device
Since no account exists, there is no cloud data to delete.
Note: Crash logs, performance data, and anonymized analytics may be retained
by Firebase and Sentry beyond account deletion for operational and security purposes, but
are not linked to your identity.
8. Children's Privacy
Our app is designed for educational use. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided
us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by
posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
